How to use your toddler activity cube to teach color recognition and counting? Ask your toddler to count the beads on each wire. You can say “Find the blue beads. Let’s count them” Introduce light blue and dark blue.

The toddler activity cube can also help with problem solving activities and early math. Ask your child to put “2 beads high and 3 beads down low.” Adding and subtracting by stacking beads on the wire and then add or take away beads. Count beads as you move them.

The toddler activity cube can help you teach time easily! Start teaching your toddler about the clock by introducing a story. Example: You need to feed the house breakfast at 8 am, lunch at 12 pm and dinner at 6 pm. Each time explain how the arrows together make the hour.

Use the abacus to teach counting, and promote fine motor skills, and hand eye coordination. There are multiple activities that involve beads manipulation that are great ways to practice. Ask your toddler to slide beads back and forth to build fine motor control. Have them name the colors.

Teach your toddler to count to 10 while moving the beads. Moving beads from left to right is pre-reading readiness skill. Start teaching early math and matching patterns with your toddler activity cube. Move a few beads and ask “How many did I move?, How many are left?” Set up a pattern on the first row (ex. 4 beads, then 2, then 4 more) and have the child match the pattern on the next row down. Your child can then repeat the pattern on each row. This is a more advanced activity for children closer to age 3.

You can use color recognition and counting to teach the child about counting numbers. Ask your toddler to count the beads on each wire. You can say “Find the green beads'' and let the toddler count them. You can also introduce color variation like light green and dark green to the play with your toddler activity cube. This helps to develop good learning and recognizing skills.
